Very Quite...hmmmm...I like it
Ok, I am a forum junkie...and a student of trends...
The last two days have been interesting...
note: OD staff presence has diminished significantly...it seems they have gone MIA...
Based on past experience...that usually means that they have set the table for a fine meal and are in the kitchen putting the final touches on the dinner.
3.9.....it's been cooking for a while...I'm hungry....can't wait to taste this dish

Re: Very Quite...hmmmm...I like it
Well, I certainly hope so! My version of 3.8.6 just tanked... can't use the calendar AT ALL! But, you are right, I'll bet. The only time that I do not hear back from them is when something grand is about to be unveiled...
With bated breath...![]()

Re: Very Quite...hmmmm...I like it
Earlier, I couldn't access the calendar (mini calendar showed one month, while the large calendar showed another... and the big one never changed). Now, I do not se ANYTHING on my calendar, except for a split second as I open CP.
It says I have plenty of local events, but not one of them shows up on the big calendar (which is still frozen) or in day, week or list mode. There, but inaccessible.... ARG!

Some people have been impacted by a bug regarding tasks and events in 3.8.6. We're going to release a 3.8.7 beta to fix this today.
Regarding diminished presence on this forum, I took the decision to experiment with the forum and let the community answer questions.

Most of you guys are veterans, if you feel confident enough to answer some users questions, do not hesitate: you are the community!

Re: Very Quite...hmmmm...I like it
I have been having major problems with email templates and mail merge. Many of the issues have been addressed but every time I try to use, some other issue pops up. Now, it is the problem that using a test email, it doesn't arrive in my inbox, just shows as sent. I tried sending to another person (wife) and she didn't get either. If I change the sending email address and send to the other, then it works. I am using V 3.8.7
I am very frustrated with these continuing issues. Mail Merge was one of the main features I chose this software in the first place. I could list all the issues in this process but I will save for a later date. The above issue is the most current.

Re: Very Quite...hmmmm...I like it
okkarl,
When you sync THL with CP, do you ever get duplicates? Sometimes, this happens to me. Or, at other times, the two super-programs do not like each other, and one or the other adds the category prefix to the task, causing a duplicate but renamed task to be added (and then re-added, and so on and so on...).
I, too, enjoy the simplicity of THL task management (I mix my more resource consuming projects using Merlin). In a perfect world, CP would utilize the best of all three mentioned programs. I am more than willing to go with what I am using right now, because nothing (and I mean NOTHING) comes anywhere close to meeting my calendar/contact needs like Contactizer Pro... and You CP guys can quote me on that. It was worth every penny for me.
