Alarms often arrive late
Anyone else have an issue with CP event alarms going off sometimes hours or even days late? A dialog will come up saying "An event alarm was missed. Dismiss, Show" or something along those lines.
Contactizer Helper is running from launch on my machine so I'm not sure why they wouldn't be going off as soon as the computer is turned on.

Re: Alarms often arrive late
I'm having the same problem. I just had an alarm go off at 11:42 am, when it should have fired at 9:30 am. I can't see the relationship between those two times.
Is there some way to reset Contactizer, or reset preferences, or reset Date and Time, so that I get back to accurate alarms?

tlauck,
What is the version of Contactizer you're using?
We fixed this issue some minor updates ago and we never had this kind of report since.

I am running Contactizer Pro 3.8.5 on SnowLeopard 10.6.2
I saw someone mention iCal Advanced Preferences. In there I have set it to turn all alarms off. But now I just unchecked that box and I will see what happens next.

On a test case, they both fired an alarm at the correct time.
Now I will check that iCal box again and do another test.

Re: Alarms often arrive late
I had this happen again this morning. An event scheduled for 7:30 pm yesterday meant to have a 2-hours-before-the-event alarm. The alarm fired for the first time at 11 something am today, the day after the event, so approx 14 hours after the event and approx 16 hours after the alarm was meant to fire. This has happened a few times before. I have not noted a pattern to the problem. I have re-checked events and their alarms to be sure it was not simply user error.

Still happening with me too.
Also, is there some way to set an alarm for an event that I am invited to. I keep missing events I am invited to because I can't set an alarm.
I thought this was fixed a few versions ago, but I don't see where I can set the alarm. ![]()

Re: Alarms often arrive late
I've experienced this as well on a few occasions... alert arrives same day or days after (when set for a number of days in advance)
